umeme, a big utility in uganda had a challenge with bulk consumers to utilize smart prepayment with functions of switching to postpaid metering and demand controlling. hexing provides a mature smart metering platform to help umeme achieving its target over setup series of anti-tamper c&i meter box and auto-recloser, communicating via cellular 3g/4g channel. represented mature combination was enough beneficiary for umeme edc to manage energy over flexible tou structure, reduce power outages and optimize revenue collection.
